いいお天気
It was a beautiful day.

パパは早起きして遊歩道を散策。

Dad woke up early and walked
a trail around the camping ground.

お出かけ前に上水を満たし、
Before exploring the park,
filled up fresh water...

手袋つけて、
wore gloves...

下水を排水。
and dumped the waste water.

今回でRVの運転は二回目。
Driving an RV is the 2nd time for Dad.

かいけはまだベットでごろん。
Kaike was still laying on the bed...

イーストポート半島のサンディコーヴ

Sandy Cove, The Eastport Peninsula

水は冷たいけど、かいけはお構いなし。パパは砂の丘をよじ登り、
ママは砂山作成中。

The water was cold.
But it was not the matter
for Kaike.
Dad climbed the sandy hill,
Mom was making a sand mountain.

←何とかと煙は高いところに昇りたがる

There is a Japanese proverb saying
like someone and smoke tend
to go higher...



↓写真を撮っていたら、ラブラドール犬が
遊歩道を駆け下りてきました。
人懐っこい犬でした。

When we were taking photos,
a labrador ran down a trail.
She was very friendly.



お昼ごはんにお結びを食べました。
Then we had Omusubi for lunch.

遊歩道は山道で
かいけにはちょっときつかったです。
野草などを見ながら登りました。

The trail was mountainous and
a little hard for Kaike.
But wild plants encouraged her.

誰がかじったのかな? Who nibbled?

ニューファウンドランド州の花
サラセニア(上)。
食虫植物です。

The provincial flower of Newfoudland
is "Pitcher Plant" (above).
The plant attracts bugs and absorb
their nutrition.

Breakfast
パパがオイルチェックしているところ。
ちゃ〜んと、キャンピングカーの面倒を見ています。

Dad was checking the oil and
always maintained the RV
in good condition.

海岸沿いの遊歩道 Coastal Trail
心配の種はお天気でした。
運が良かったです!
空の色をご覧あれ。

Our concern was the weather
in the island.
We definitely had good luck!
See beautiful blue skies.
グロスモーン国立公園に向かう途中、
取り立ての野菜を売る農家の方に出会いました。
トマトとコーンとジャガイモをたっぷり買いました。

On the way to Gros Morne National Park, we met farmers
who sold fresh vegetables grown in their farm.
We bought tomatoes, corns, and a lot of potatoes from them.

トレーラーには新鮮野菜がいっぱい。
Their trailer was filled with fresh vegies.
ガンダーと言う街の案内所で
ニューファウンドランド犬について訪ねたところ、
親切な飼い主が犬を連れてきてくれました。
赤ちゃんの女の子「ブリーズ」です。
本当に水かきがついていました。
かいけは手形(足型?)をもらいました。

At the information centre
in Gander,we asked about
the Newfoundland dogs (Newfies).
Very kind owner of the dog
brought her baby dog Breeze
to show us.
She indeed has webbed feet
and Kaike got her foot print!
州立公園でランチ。
ニューファウンドランドの水はどこも明るい茶色です。
鉄分の多い水らしいです。

We dropped in the provincial park
to have lunch.
The water in Newfoundland looks
light brown everywhere.
This color comes from iron
in the water.

and Canadian flag
