サンタクロースハウスでサンタさんに会いました。
サンタさんは仕事かばんを持って御出勤。。。
そんなわけでママは三ツ星です。

in North Pole.
We met Mr. and Mrs. Claus in the Santa Claus House!
Mr. Santaa came to the House bringing his briefcase...
That's why Mama gave only three stars.

ヨーロッパから来ていました。

お天気はいまいちでしたが、
ハイウェイに沿った景色を楽しみました。
野草あり山あり小川や川あり、
そして氷河あり。
The weather was not clear,
but we still enjoyed the scenery along the highway.
There were wild flowers, mountains, creeks, rivers,
and glaciers.

8/3 トルソナ ワイルダネス キャンプ場
Tolsona Wilderness Campground
全てのキャンプサイトが小川に面してました。
我々のサイトは木立の中で、車の中にいてもせせらぎが聞こえました。
しか〜し!!!!外に出ると、蚊の大群が押し寄せてきます。
ママは一歩も外に出ませんでした。
All sites were facing to Tolsona creek in this campgroound.
Our site was in a woods, and able to hear the murmuring of a creek even in the RV.
Buuuut!!!! Once you go out, a swarm of mosquitoes will attack you!!!!
Mama had never gone out.

このあたりにはもう一つの国立公園
ランゲルーセントエライアス国立公園
(アメリカで一番広い国立公園）があります。
しかし、お天気が悪くセントエライアス山は望めませんでした。
（北米で2番目に高い山です）
There is one more national park
"Wrangell-St. Elias National Park"
(that is the largest NP in the US) in this area.
But, It was cloudy,
so we couldn't see St. Elias
(that is the second tallest mountain in the north America.)

(アメリカで一番広い国立公園）があります。
しかし、お天気が悪くセントエライアス山は望めませんでした。
（北米で2番目に高い山です）

8/4 氷河ハイキング
Matanuska Glacier Glacier Hiking
氷河ハイキングに挑戦しました。
ガイドさんはジョー、彼はテキサスからアラスカにアイスクライミングするために移ってきたそうです。
みんな登山用のスパイクをつけて、ヘルメットをかぶりました。
スキーストックを持って、氷河の上に出発。
氷河は本当にきれいな青色でした。
かいけパパは昔々マンモスが歩いていたのを想像したそうです。

The guide was Joe who had moved in Alaska from Texas for iceclimbing.
Each of us wore boots, cleats and a helmet.
Then got a ski pole and stepped onto the glacier.
The glacier was really beautiful BLUE.

グレンハイウェイをアンカレッジに向けてドライブ。
標識のカリブーは、いっぱい撃たれてました。
お天気は回復し、楽しいドライブ。
Drove along Gllen Highway heading for Anchorage.
