お家で過ごしました。
お友達一家が訪ねてくれました。かいけはお友達と遊べて大喜び。
かいけママはかいけの誕生日プレゼントにゲームを買いました。
「人生ゲーム」と「クロスワードゲーム」をしました。
これらは本当に面白くって、算数のお勉強になります。
We stayed home.
Our friend family visited us. Kaike was so hajppy to play with them.
Kaike mama bought some games for Kaike's birthday.
We played "The game of LIFE" and "SCRABBLE".
These are really fun and good for math.
りんご狩りに行きました。
かいけは味見で大忙し。
ハロウィンのジャックオーランタン用のかぼちゃもありました。
Went to pick apples.
Kaike was busy to taste them.
There were pumpkins for jack-o'-lantern on Halloween.
あいこさん（アラスカで出会った方）が
お手製の塩じゃけを送ってくれました。
鮭は、愛子さんとラリーさんが釣ったもの。
それから昆布と椎茸も送ってくれました。
日本食でお腹いっぱい!
あいこさんラリーさんありがとう。
Aiko-san whom we met in Alaska
sent us home made Salted-Salmon
which she and Larry-san fished.
She sent Konbu (Kelp)
and Shiitake mushroom as well.
We all got full with Japanese dishes.
Thanks Aiko-san, Larry-san.

Kaike's Friend Non-chan came over.
Frozen custard is their favorite.
They blew bubbles and chased them.
Kaike and Papa went to the school yard.

かいけの持ってるのは、双子のトマト。

レーバーデイ Labor Day
オハイオ州立公園の中でも、最も人気のある公園のひとつに出かけました。
オハイオではこの公園は、美しいくぼ地や洞窟、滝などで知られています。
また、その自然史でも有名なところです。
We explored one of the most popular Ohio State Parks.
In Ohio, this park is well-known for its beautiful hollows, caves, and
water falls.
And also it is famous for its natural history.

かいけとパパはサッカー（?）をして

After we had picnic lunch,
Kaike and Papa were playing

自然の岩の造形が見事でした。
苔むした岩もきれいでした。
Natural rock formations
were really terrific.
Moss-covered rocks were
wonderful as well.
はちいばあばからの救援物資の
「 お〜いお茶（粉茶）」で入れました。

We drank ice green tea that was made from Chi-ba-ba's relief supplies.
ほんとにいいお天気でした。
It was a really beautiful day.

At the lower falls,
there was little water falling down...
コテージには寝室二つ、
バスルーム、リビングルーム、
ガスで燃やす暖炉、台所とダイニング、
そして！
虫除けネット完備のポーチがあります。
コテージの外は林です。
Stayed at a Cottage in the state park.
Each cottage has two bedroom , bathroom, living room, gas-burning fireplace,kitchen, dining area and screened porch.
Outside of the cottage was
surrounded with woods.

この公園には6つの遊歩道が整備されています。
昨日4つ歩いたので、残りは２つです。
There are 6 well maintained trails in this park.
We have walked 4 trails yesterday, there were 2 trails left.

なかなか快適でした。

滝も、もっと迫力があるんだけど。。。
If there were more water,
the falls would be more impressive...
この洞窟は巨大で、とても美しかったです。
遠い昔、この洞窟で、原住民の人たちが生活していた頃を想像しました。
This cave was HUGE and so beautiful.
We imagined the old dayswhen native American people were living in this cave.
